So we went on a weekend trip for a little family reunion on my husbands side. Everyone either just had or is just about to have a baby and since everyone lives in a different part of the country we all decided to get together in new jersey for the weekend. We left thursday night, ended up having to travel 9 hours via greyhound *shudder* and we were delayed so we ended up in newark late. Which meant our ride was gone bcuz she had to work. Everyone else had to work too which meant we had to take a cab from newark to the part of jersey that his mom lives in. The cab driver wanted us to pay 84 dollars so we haggled him down to 60 and got to where we needed to go. I didn't get to sleep too much because one little kid in particular was extremely bad and his parent don't even attempt to control him. Oh yeah, and one of the babies spent the day crying constantly. We left 9 am on sunday morning to ride back with his sil and her two kids (one of which is the really bad kid) and her van broke down 45 min from harrisburg. 3 kids in the car and snowing. Lovely. We got towed to a service station and paid the driver $75 to haul us and our luggage back to reading, pa where we could catch a bus to the philly greyhound station. We waited in the philly greyhound station for 4 hours for the bus that we needed to take back home. Bus got in around 4 am this morning and I took a little nippie. Dh and chu are still sleeping. The entire trip was a fiasco and I will never go visit anyone like that again unless i'm driving a brand new car. No greyhound, no 2001 mini vans. Brand new suv only thankies!! But the weekend wasn't a total bust, at least his mom got to see all of her grandkids and the kids got to know each other. Unfortunately I had to visit with dh's exwife. Yay. *serious sarcasm*
