Okay! I am new to this forum, but I wouldn't be here if I felt like I was getting adequate care. I just don't know what is wrong with me and the doctors I have to visit don't seem to want to help alleviate my problems.

Ok - so it started on christmas night, when I woke up with the worst nauseating pain I have ever felt. Then, I had to get out of bed and throw up. For the next five days, I continued to throw up anytime I ingested anything. Then, I became so tired of throwing up, I learned to ingest no more than a handful and be able to keep it down without it trying to come back up. Everything I would eat tried to come back up. I lost my appetite. I was always tired. So I went to the doctor. They couldn't figure out what was wrong, gave me something for the nausea and sent me home.

So I waited two more weeks. The symptoms got so bad. The first week, I had constant diarrhea. The second week it was normal with maybe 2 days of constipation. I went back to the doctor. She told me that I had been backlogged in bowel movements after taking the x-ray. So she prescribed a laxative (golytely) to me to cleanse me out. It was their hope that this would fix my problem. It hasn't.

Since then, I have not had many bowel movements at all. I was able to eat for about four days, but am back to the handful thing again for it will come up otherwise. And now, I get this sharp pain in my right side. I went back to the doctor and he ordered some blood work. Since my white blood count came back slightly low, they ruled out their possible suspicions of it being my appendix or my iliocecal valve (the valve that connects your small intestine to your large intestine) and just prescribed some stool softeners.

I've been taking the medication, but I fear something serious is wrong with me. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what this could be.

Here is my current symptoms:
- nausea
- vomiting (if I eat more than a handful)
- abdominal pain (especially in right side)
- fatigue
- loss of appetite
- consitipation

i am a 25 year old female. The blood work has already ruled out pregnancy. Even though my periods have stopped. But I think that might be because I have lost 15 pounds in this last month. And I am continuing to lose weight.

Anything anyone can tell me would be greatly appreciated.

Have your doc check you for the following:

1) Celiac Disease!!!

2) Crohn's Disease

3) Ulcerative Colitis

Also, your doc should rule out the following:

1) Intestinal Dysbiosis
2) Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth
3) Heavy Metal Toxicity
4) Food Intolerances
