Q: Swallowed Fork Tine Dilemma

About 8 months ago I accidentally broke the tip of my plastic fork while eating and swallowed a tiny piece of the prong. I went to the doctor and I ended up having an eeg done. (they stuck something down my throat with a mini-camera on it.) they didn't see anything! So, I figured my throat was just sore from where it had gone down. Well as time went by I didn't really notice the feeling anymore. But recently within the past three or four days i've started noticing it again. Now it is really sore. I wonder if I should go to the doctor or just hope it goes away after a while.
I don't know what would've caused me to start feeling it again except that I have started taking some pills for something else un-related. They are large pills and maybe they irritated something going down. Thanks for any advice.
