Sad Twisted Evil Question

i had a filling (metal ones replaced with composite) done "close to my nerve root" last friday. It's now saturday night, 8 days later, and I am in agonizing level 10 pain (deep aching and throbbing). What are possible causes...Infection? Sensitivity? ? ????? ? I have to wait until monday to call my dentist...I just thought my jaw muscles flared up and were pinching a nerve because i've had lower and upper jaw pain, pain up the side of my face, my nose, my upper left front and bottom teeth, to the side of my tongue, around the left side of my eye and above... Agh!!!!!!!!!! Just took two aleve, hoping that will help in the meantime. It was feeling so much better, and then I ate a little bit, a banana, a few olives, and some cucumber. No pain while I was chewing it, but oh my god it is killing me now. Any advice or experience with this? I wonder if I should go to the emergency room to make sure it isn't something that might get considerabley dangerous, but I don't think they'll be able to do anything except give me pain killers until I see my dentist...
