Q: Stripping Membranes?

Did anyone ever get their membranes stripped? And if so does it hurt I just wanted to know because my doctor is talking about stripping my membranes on wednesday if I am dilated

I had it done. I thought it was very uncomfortable but not really painful. I bled for days after and it didn't help me go into labor on my own, I had to be induced 3 days past my due date.

I had it done. It was pretty uncomfortable. You might spot after you have it done, and it's not guaranteed to send you into labor. It didn't do anything for me. I had to be induced.

I had it done with my first 2 pregnancies. Both times for me I went into labour soon after.

It didn't hurt but it felt slightly uncomfortable

My sister had it done with her son , she said it hurt a lil bit nothing worse the period cramps, she walked the whole day after she had it done and went into labor she was like 37-38 wks when she had it done. She just got lucky ithink that she went into labor the same day
