I am about to finish my second month of bc pills and I am on the 2nd to last pill before the placebo week starts ( I have two left, one today one tomorrow). The first month I had a week of breath trhough bleeding but that went away before I had about a 1 day period during the placebo week (which was odd for me because I had just switched off from nuvaring, in which I had a normal period every month). Anyway, I am starting to get a brownish discharge now... Is that the onset of my period since technically it should start in two days? Or is that break trhough bleeding?? But if it is break trhough bleeding then why would I get it for just the last two days? Wil it extend into my period? Thanks!

Oh, and im on microgestin fe 1/20. Is that known to cause light periods?

Thanks

breakthrough bleeding and spotting that continues beyond the 3 initial cycles of pills are side effects that usually do not require medical attention.
