Q: Is This Okay to Do?

Okay I have a digi cam and normally send my pics from my comp to walgreens.Com and then just pick them up.

I have heard somethings about naked baby photos-like I have some of trace when he was a young baby....But would I get in trouble if I developed those-like child porn or something? Cause you know how messed up our society is....Its like I wonder if ill get in trouble for having some innocent pics developed? How sad. What do you guys think?

Second. If someone were to take some sexy pics of themselves for their bf lol....Like in lingerie, would that be a big no no to send to walgreens to get developed?

Thanks :d

I dont know if its illegal or not, but with all the crap ive seen and lived I would never personally do it

there are a lot of perverts out there and I wouldnt want anyone to have acess to naked pictures of my baby, just terrifies me to think of it...I know im paranoid lol

i would put them on a flash or sd drive and take them to those self printing thingys...Do you know what im talking about or am I just being retarded?

I wouldn't think it'd be child porn if it was like a buttshot or something. I think a woman got busted on that when she was doing photography shots, but if they're your own personal pictures of your son I don't see why not.

The lingerie shots? Ummm I personally wouldn't get those developed. I'd keep those on a disk or something Wink

The walmart near my house did not print an entire body shot (in the bath) of trey, he was about 2 months old. They did put it on the cd for me though.

Also my sil took her daughter to see hilary duff last yr and took pics and they developped them and when we went and got them they were all black, and they said they were not allowed developping pics from concerts. Shocked

i know loblaws (the grocery store) developped a semi naked pic of trey though.

You can print them out its fine, I was photo manager at walgreens so eh we went through a meetingon that once. Its not considered child porn unless it was taken in a certain manner mostly with the older kids where it looks as they didnt want ther epicture taken and are naked. If they suspect pornography they wont put those pics in your envelope and they will notify the cops etc. But baby photos are fine . Hell we develope naked pics of adults. Soem weirdos actually used todrop it off for one hour and come back and get it. We just cover the machine while they print

none of that is illegal lol, only if it is taken in a certain manner like someone forced you to takepics likethat, but also when u sent them towalgreens they print out of the machine u print pics from ur digicam on so they usually never look at those pictures anyways. It depends on the manner the pictures were taken wich urs would be okto print.

Why didn't they just not do it?

i dont get why a place woildnt develop them. If you took them with your own camera they should be no problem, now if u bought ilke concert pics froma stand there and attempted to make copies that isnt allowed but if it was a disposable or digital camera of your own I dont get why they wouldnt do it and I dont ge thow they would develop them black? I dont know how you would do that on a regular machine unless the pics came out black on the film. There isnt a way to make them that way unless u change the darkness on the machine but I think the person that did that is an fool and cant read rules on developing pics . That on ejust makes no sense to me. Was it at a walgreens or another place?

Not all places just stick them in a machine, diane.

To make them black you just simply over expose them.

oh. I didnt know. I stil think it was stupid of the place not to print concert pictures unless they were copyrighted. But certain places and employees follow different rules too. Some people I worked with let people make copies of school pics etc and just erased em off the machin ewich is abig no no had our district photo manager found out they woulda lost there job and we would have gotten fined $1,000.

Yup, it was stupid/petty of them, I agree.

But then a lot of concerts do say things like "no flash photography" and photo development places are told not to develop them.

But even so it would have made more sense to just not develop them rather than over expose them to black - that is just stupid.

Hey just a suggestion there are lots of places where you can do "mail order pics" too. I personaly use snapfish.Com but .I have used shutterfly.Com in the past too. You send them electronicly and everything is done by machines (or so I assume) you do have to click a box saying nothing is copyrighted and blah blah, but I find it much eaiser and pretty affordable. I do a lot with potograpy and photoshop and when .I started taking them to sams club or wal-mart they stop printing them because they thought .I was stealing professional prints but they were mine. This way .I don't have to deal with that. Also when .I do get professional prints I buy the cd and the rights to them so this way .I don't have to deal with the hassle of getting a letter from the photographer and signing the paperwork.
