Thats where I went last night, at like 2 30 in the morning I had an asthma attack and yeah not fun, I had to call my grandparents to take me cause shawn had some nyquil and well the baby, so yeah then I got sent home so I came home after having 2 doses of ventalin, and picked up reese and his things and stayed at my grandparents then, (got home around 4 30) been at my grandparents for like 15 mins and then back to the hospital I had to go cause it came back, had another shot of ventalin, and got a perscription for 2 differnt puffers, one I have to take 2 puffs twice a day, the other only when I feel my cheast tightening, and I also got some sort of staroid for my lungs, (it tastes nasty) I was so pissed off last night, they gave me my first thing of the staryoid (that ur sposta take with food or milk) they gave me water, so on the way to the car I puked it up along with bile 5 times!!!!!!!!! .what! doing it nurses, not like its hard to go get a cup of milk or something rather then water!.. Anyways I didnt get on here today because I was at my grandparents sick like a dog, and the one time I went to go on here well.... Yea, reese cried.. *sigh* anyways tomorrow morning im going back to my grandparents place and im gonna call the doc to ask if the puffers or steroids will effect my birth control... (i hope not) I dont want another couple months of .C.O.N.D.O.M.S anyways, thats my story.... Ill miss you guys, wish me healthy ness!

Steroids and inhalers do not affect birth control, I can assure you of that because I have been asthmatic for 20 years and take them myself.

Asthma is really scary and i'm sorry to hear you had a rough time last night - i've had to go to hospital several times and be placed on a nebuliser. One attack I had, when I was 11 years old, I was staying at a friend's house and no-one believed I was really ill. I lay in bed gasping and wheezing for 2 days until I was taken to the hospital. My friend's mum thought I was trying to get out of going to church! what!

Anyway, hope the inhalers help you. My asthma is well controlled now with qvar and airomir.

aw, that sucks. Did you have asthma before or was this your first attack? I used to have it really bad but I guess I grew out of it, I haven't had to use my inhaler in a really long time.

Feel better!

I feel for ya hun, I just had a simmilar episode...And I do mean *just* like 10 minutes ago

im exteamly allergic to mold and our apartment has so much damn mold in it and our managment wont do anything about it, we have to literally bleach the house every other week, its rediculous

well my brother found a cristmas card box with mold on it and gave it to me to look at and asked me if it was mold (very nice of him eh?) within 3 seconds of being near that box I couldnt breath, threw the box at him and said yes

but thankfully I went by the open door and took some benedryl so I could get "clean" air into my lungs, called my ob to be sure I could take my inhaler and now im a bit better, so I dont need to go to the hospital thankfully

just so glad we knew what caused it and could get it away from me, sometimes im not so lucky
