Hey....Quick question for you...It seems like we started our babies on solids around the same time and I know you have breastfed exclusively like I have. What type of schedule are you on right now with feeding solids and also nursing. I remember in a post you said you were following a paper the doctor gave you. (if it wasn't you, .I apologize). Our ped didn't really give us a schedule or anything to follow. I've been gradually increasing but i'm not really sure what I should be up to know. He was 6 months old on 10th and we started cereal last .Monday. Any input is welcome...Thanks so much!

The paperwork I got from my ped's office was photocopied out of a book or something, from the looks of it. But it basically was a general guideline, saying that it's best to start veggies before fruits because babies will quickly learn to prefer the sweet tastes, and what to look for as far as possible reactions to the foods.

What .I've been doing with .Aly is setting up certain "meal" times. I feed her cereal mixed with veggies (sweet potatoes this week) around noon and again around 6pm, and otherwise nurse her on demand. She doesn't really "fill up" at her little meal times, so she usually gets a boob within an hour afterward.

I've been pretty much playing it by ear, with some help from the mommies here of course. Wink

.I'm sorry, did that answer your question at all? Confused

Yes. Thanks. That is basically what .I've been doing too. It's just reassuring to hear from others experiences as well! We started with some apples and i'm going to do either carrots or sweet potatoes next. Thanks again!
