Missed birth control pills...am I pregnant? Posted: 01-24-07 13:55pm
Hi. I was wondering, I am on birth control
and I missed three of my pills in the
second week of taking the pill. I then got
my period two days before I was done with
my month pack. Could I be pregnant, or am
I at just a higher risk of becoming
pregnant?

If you got your period, no matter if it
was earlier or later than the expected
date, you can’t be pregnant. Missing 3
pills in the first, second or third week
of the month pack is unacceptable if you
want to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
Missing pills on the fourth week of the
month pack is not a problem because the
pills are inactive (do not contain
hormones).
