How old is he? Wish I knew how to help. I guess he realizes he loves milk and it fills him up without food. They always say to give them there drink milk or juice after eating so they dont drink all of it and not eat . But looks like youve tried it. If hes still really little and still has formula id attempt thatmaybe so hes getting nutrients. Hopefully its a little phase hes going through

Logan is exactly the same. He hardly eats food and fills himself up on milk. I changed him to cows milk when he turned one and I thought it would make him more hungry but it hasn't. I have to fight with him every day to get tiny morsels down him.

My health visitor said there is nothing we can do as he is a healthy weight and to just keep trying and he'll sort himself out Confused

Not Eating Solids
My little cousin was the exact same way, only he was 7 months when my aunt sought help. Turns out he just wasn't ready. Just keep trying and eventually he'll get a feel for solids, but until then if he's a healthy weight he'll be fine. Julian ended up getting used to solids by 11 months and now you can keep his hands out of the stuff!

thats when I started joseph on food, he was picky at first but I still kept giving himformula like id try and feed him normal food all day. Lil entrees and stuff then at night he would have formula. In the evening. They are soooooo picky at first. At 3 weeks before his 1st birthday we took away formula completely. But he was odd he didnt like milk to much at first. Will he feed himself if uput food infront of him? Maybe he wants to be independent lol

I was just about to suggest that. Chu loves eating cheerios, small chunks of really soft carrot, banana, toast squares. He likes picking them up between his thumb and forefinger and putting them into his mouth by himself. Maybe if you let him play with the spoon?

I agree with everyone else, and some babies just aren't ready for solids until they get older. But .I wouldn't get too concerned if he isn't eating them right now since his formula has all the vitamins and nutrients he needs. Like everyone else said, as long as he's at a good weight you should be fine. Does he have any teeth? Has he tried other variations of food?

thing is I let him hold the spoon by himself. Then later he just ends up getting bored. And throws it.Your so lucky your baby eats all of that.He wont even touch his finger foods.

I know this is a little different....But with amelia and formula feeding she would only eat about 2oz and then stop and then want it again 1/2 an hour later. Well I couldnt' do that and neither could the nanny...So what we did, if she wouldn't eat then she would have to wait 3-4 hours and then if she only ate like 2 oz she would have to wait again...She soon learned that if she didn't eat she wouldn't be fed. I knw it sounds harsh. But dont' give him formula or milk which ever you are currently giving him....And feed him if he doesnt' eat then he doesn't get to eat for a while.....But then again I am all about the scedual.

thats not right at all. Many babies arent ready for solids until much later. If they arent ready for solids you arent supposed to push them. That can make things worse and they will be reluctant.
Babies dont actually need anything other than formula/breastmilk during their first year.
So withholding formula ffrom him isnt going to solve anything, it wil probably make things worse.
Dont worry, hun my son is 8 months and he isnt interested in babyfood either.

Wha?
Where did I say every baby was the same? That is exactly my point. Youre supposed to let each baby develop at their own pace and take their time, not push things on them.
Im talking about angelosmama baby. He is clearly not interested, just like my son. Everything I have read on the subject states not to push it, because pushing things on babies when they arent ready can cause problems. This goes for everything. Crawling, walking, food, whatever. Your supposed to let them set their own pace and let them develop their own individual way.

You're right.

But, I think that he was previously eating them, and then stopped. I could be wrong though.

In the case that he's just stopped abruptly, there could be something wrong... Or he could have eaten something nasty, and refuses to take that "chance" anymore! Lol

He's teething. His mouth probably hurts. When trey was teething was the only time in his life he did not want to eat.

Was he eating before this marie or are you introducing him to foods now. If oyu are just newly introducing them, listen to natalia and wait before trying again.

If he has suddenly stopped eating, it could be his teeth or something else. Probably nothing major.
