Hi my name is laura I havent been on lately I had my daughter shes five months now and I need to know something I recently went to the doctor and took a p.T it came out with two lines again one dark and one really light then they took another one and it came out negative. I know that theres no such thing as a false positive and that there is a such thing as a false negative but I dont understand how in the matter of ten minutes I got two different results the positive one was first so im guessing its there but not enough hormones are present to give me a strong positive but I dont know wat do you's think has this ever happened to any of u?

If you took them within 10 minutes of eachother then it makes sense that the 2nd one would be negative. Early in pregnancy, there isn't a lot of the pregnancy hormone present in urine. That's why it's suggested that you test with first morning urine. If you only had a little bit of unconcentrated pee, then there probably weren't enough hormones to register a positive on the test. Test again first thing in the morning.
