this is the eternal stay at home mom's plight. For as long as i've ever known moms who stay home, this is identical to their complaint. And, often, my own Wink it gets easier.

I hear ya girl! As .Reese gets older .I promise things will get a bit easier. Adriana is 10 months now and she almost never wants to be held. Now all she wants to do is explore. Tho she gets into everything, there are ways to confine little ones so they don't do that.....I don't have a play pen, but there are times .I wish .I had one just to put her in it to play so .I know she's safe. But .I'm thinking of getting those little fence like things for children, you set it up on the floor and they can't get out (supposedly!)

Yea, that's what we have to deal with.

They are the ones to get up and go to "money making" work.

Although .Baron takes over on the weekends, not many men feel the need to.

You're a mommy now. It's a 24/7 job. None of us really get the required rest during the week. Being a mommy is draining.

But once .Reese gets older, and more independent, you'll feel much better about the situation!!

This sounds familiar. When .Aaron agreed to take .Alyvia this evening so I could have some time to unwind, I thought things would be fine. After a while I heard her crying in the other room. I walk in there and she's sitting in her bumbo crying, and he's on his computer ignoring her. So I pick her up and he says "oh she's fine". Nice parenting. Rolling Eyes

the other day before he left for work he asked me to "do something today". Like I don't spend all day taking care of his daughter. And when he gets home from work he's too tired to take her, so I continue to take care of her while he unwinds. Most days, the only break I get is when .Alyvia and I go to bed.

A lot of guys just don't see stay-at-home-mommies as "working".

Yep same crap-ola here. exact same crap. The male species makes me so mad. But at the same time its like, if you really think about it, they cant even help it, its their wiring. I am reading the book "the female brain". We are just so different from them....I am starting to realize I need to stop trying to change him, cause it is not going to happen lol.

Granted there are some exceptions but that is extremely rare.

Hey ladies I know the feeling with men bs but you know what men are like babies themselves. When you think back before having kids who did you give all of your attention to? The man!! When they were not feeling well or were hurt who took care of them? Either there mothers or the wife/girlfriend!!! Most ladies are guilty of pampering their men in the beginning. Then they get replaced so you can say they become a bit grumpy, want things there way, and pout when things don't. I think there jealous.

Must be a husband code. Mines the same way, his excuse is he needs a break fromwork, I toldhim my job is 24/7 I dont get off I dont get a break, wich would be nice just to like have a bath wher eu can sit and relax while he watches the kids or something or even runing ot the store alone to get milk is even nice lol. Me andmy husband had a whole talk or argument of this this past weekend so he is trying to help out more because sometimes it can be nervwracking, he dont understand that babies sometimes just want to be held all day. Last night I made dinner with jordynne in my arms. I cant stand to hear a baby cry and not hold them

Sorry shawn's being a jerk. I'm with everyone else, unless they do it themselves guys have no idea what your day is like. I'm sure a lot of them think we're just sitting at home watching tv and hanging out.

I guess I lucked out though. Nick is very helpful and understanding, he knows some days stuff doesn't get done because of the baby but he helps out a lot. He gets up with finn on the weekends so I can get a couple full nights of sleep, he offers to get up with him a couple times during the week but I won't let him since he needs to be rested for work. He gives finn his evening bottle and snuggles with him until it's his bedtime. He cleans, he offers to cook (but I prefer to do it), he's completely taken over caring for the dog. I only have a couple tiny little complaints, he leaves his dishes and glasses all over his desk and he doesn't put his ties away at the end of the day (he leaves them on the dresser *next* to the closet, why can't he actually open the closet and put them away). I can't complain though, he's pretty great.

Wow!!! I thought I was bad....And I don't even have a man to complain about. I was crying to my mother the other night because since .Milly has been born I haven't had a break....But at the same time I work too. I am a single parent in every meaning of the term. But on the same note....I was blessed with a wonderful child. She is great. It kinda makes me happy that I didnt' get married because I would have to put up with his sh*t too.

I guess all I can say is that it gets better?!!!!

That's why I left, he never changed after countless times of him saying "i'll try more" I hate that word. I guess I could try and take care of trey and try and make sure he's happy and loved and try and keep my job to supprt my son. So I fuigured instead of fighting constantly and having to pick up twice as much cause of him and our roomate, i'd leave.

I've heard the first yr is the hardest and it either makes or breaks the couple. Unfortunately it broke us, but things are better now. We see each other more and he's better with trey now. He usually comes when I need him too since trey has taken to throwing tantrums all the time and I feel like i'll lose it sometimes. Thank god he lives 2 secs away so he can just run over.

I always hated that he thought I did "nothing" during the day. Hahahaha. He angers me off.

This almost makes me kinda glad that jonny and I live far apart, because while i'm basically a single mum, it means I don't have to get mad at him for not helping out and stuff. Although when he's here he's usually pretty good at letting me get some rest.

I just prefer to do most of the stuff myself.. For some reason I won't let anyone else sterilise .Jenny's bottles, I *have* to do it myself for my own peace of mind. It's the same with changing her nappies.. If .Jonny does it I get paranoid he's not cleaned her properly so I prefer to do that myself too. I guess I just know how useless guys are. Hehe

lmao, at first I thought you were talking about reese here...Then I realized who you were talking about

im sorry hes being like this though, I hope trevor stays like he is after the baby is born, he is so helpful right now, he realizes ive been having a hard time (being sick so much and the headaches I get along with school and all) he trys to help when he can

i watch some kids for one of the girls he works with and he realizes that I do infact work all day, watching kids isnt easy...He knows hes watched a few kids lol

if he ever gets a few days off in a row, let him have the first few days to himself then leave reese with him for a while, let him see how "easy" it is

i hope it can get better, guys can suck sometimes

oh my .God, this is so true. Aaron doesn't like cleaning .Aly's bits because he feels a bit wrong, so he gives them a once-over and concentrates elsewhere (like the crease of her inner thighs). I can't count how many times .I've found feces near/in her vagina folds after he's changed her last poopy diaper. I get so mad at him because .I'm scared she'll get an infection. Evil or

I was like that with the bottles too. I hated that my ex never cleaned the nipples properly. Diapers on the other hand. He can change as many as he wants-lmao. Maybe it would be diff if trey was a girl but he's not so mike is a little more knowledgeable about cleaning that area and pushing his foreskin back than me. Plus the less poopy diapers I have to change thehappier it makes me. Lol Razz
