I have recently found out I have got clamidia but I have been sleeping with the same partner for a few months now and when I told him, he said he hasnt slept with anyone else. If have only slept with one other person before him does it mean my new partner will definatley have contracted it?.

I don't know the details here as far what std protection, if any, you two use, but I am going to say that it certainly is possible, maybe even probable depending on your std protection, that he has it too. If you two use male latex condoms, his chances of having it are not as great, but condoms are not 100% effective, so even then the chance is still there. Chlamydia can also be passed through oral sex, so even if he never had vaginal intercourse with anyone else, that does not mean that the chlamydia did not come from him. There is certainly no harm in his getting checked.

Most definetly he is infected as well. He should definetly get tested and like I said in the previous post, it is very easily treated. Only one dose of antibiotic.

I would like to know how old are you if you don't mind me asking. Just curious if it is true that this particular std affects more teenagers than adults.

I had it last year. Just because you have it does not always mean that your partner has it. My doctor told me I could have had it for a long time before I knew I had it. My ex-husband cheated on me and that is where I believe I contracted it I had no other partners. It was almost two years after my separation that I found out I had it. My b/f was tested and he was negative and we had been sleeping together for almost a year. Your partner should get tested. If he does have it and does not get treated he can pass it right back to you even if you have been treated. This is something you don't want to mess with. If it goes untreated it can affect your reproductive organs.
