I voted no. I'm not against gay people though. I'm not sure exactly how I feel, but marriage was made for man and woman.

Yes, .Bridget! I'm really glad this hasn't gotten out of hand. I like hearing people opinions- whether they be the same as mine or different. I'm glad we've been able to keep this civil.. Even those who don't support gay marriage are still respectful &have nothing against gay people. I absolutely hate when people are homophobic &seem to have some kind of personal vendetta against gays. It's ludicrous. Bravo to us, ladies! We're respectful &mature!

I voted yes, I belive that everyone should be able to be with the one that they love, wheither it be a man/woman or man/man woman/woman. I have a gay uncle and I love him just the same, and I love his partner. They are perfect together. Smile

I voted no.

I have gay family. I have gay friends.

I don't bash it. I just don't think it's right, or insanly wrong.

If they marry, they marry. But if everyone were to be gay/lesbian, the world would end.

It would take a while...But it would. Lol

shoot, who cares!!

I voted yes. If you're not gay, then it doesn't pertain to you, and you don't need to have a gay marriage. It's a freaking piece of paper that says you're married. But it's a piece of paper that entitles you to a lot, and .I don't believe that just because your sexual preference is for members of the same sex you should be unable to access things that heterosexual married couples can.

i don't think legalizing gay marriage would make everyone gay. Just like straight marriage being legal doesn't make everyone straight.

the same could be said for racism and interracial marriage. It's not a valid reason to keep them from getting married, just because others might not agree with it. I know plenty of people who don't agree with people "going outside their race", but is that reason enough for the goverment to outlaw interracial marriage? Of course not.

And what's the problem if they want to get divorced later on? We shouldn't allow them to marry like straight people just because they might get divorced? That makes no sense. We might as well outlaw all marriage if we're so worried about the precious divorce rate.

I would support a bill of gay marriage. A civil marriage is not sacred so why not. At least I believe they should be able to get a civil union decree so they can have all the legal benefits of marriage folks.

Now holy marriage is sacred and that one can only be achieved only between a man and woman. It is clear that god has no intention to change the definition of the word marriage to be man-man or woman-woman, so the holy sacrament of marriage will never change to accomodate a depraved society.

I voted yes.

A couple of years ago, this petition thing was going around my mom's church against gay marriage and they wanted everyone in the church to sign it. I refused. Then was looked down on. Whatever.

Anyway, I don't see the big deal about marriage. Honestly, it's just a piece of paper to me. I defintly see myself getting married in the future, but i'm not gonne be depressed if I don't (as long as I have someone--dating--living together..Lol)

anyway, it shouldn't matter if you're gay or not.

As long as I don't have to work at the wedding :d I serve at weddings *every* weekend. One time we had two girls getting married. Got *so* out of hand. They had like a lesbian table and the girls went *wild* and started making out and doing very inappropriate things. It was quite funny actually.

i was at my uncle's wedding like 10 years ago and the pastor (or whatever he was) said *during* the ceremony "we're here to unite this man and this woman- that's right, this *man* and this *woman*! God created adam and eve not adam and steve!"

it just seemed like the most inappropriate thing to say during their wedding ceremony. I still don't know why he did it. That was just the start of the biggest freakshow, oops I mean wedding, i've ever been to.
