Hey everyone, I was just wondering something. At .Kaylee's doctors appointment the other day, they told me that instead of using .Infant .Tylenol for her when she's hurting from teething, I could use a 1/2 a teaspoon of .Childrens .Motrin. I haven't used it & I probably won't but I just wanted to get some other peoples opinions on this & see if any of you have used it? Thanks a lot.

I was told not to give infants motrin until they're 6 months old.

But if your doctor said it was ok then I guess you could try it. A lot of people say it's more effective than tylenol.

I wouldn't give children's motrin to her. She's too young. I'd go and get some tempra or infant drops.

I just started giving trey children's meds because of his weight he is big enought to take children's instead of infant stuff.

I only used .Calpol as a pain reliver....It is made specifically for infants 0-3 months.

As far as over the counter pain relivers / fever reducers and cold medicines if it wasn't made specifically for infants I never used it.

Okay, that's all I wondered was if anyone else had used it. I didn't know they made infants motrin.. I'll have to look for that the next time I get to town.

I think .I'm going to stick with the infants tylenol, it seems to work just fine for her Smile

.Thanks so much ladies!!

If her dr. said it was fine...Than it's not going to hurt her.

There is no way a Dr. Would tell a mother to do something that would harm her child. No way.

Why take the risk of mal practice??

You're right....But, everyone on here has a *different* Dr.

And everyone thinks *their* Dr. Knows all.

If one Dr. Prefers one med over another, it's not *my* job to tell her other wise.

I'll leave that to the dr.S.

Oh, foxy! That medicne you were talking about, they don't sell it in the states anymore. Is it available where you are? Let me know! I'd def pay any amount of money to get it!

for the billionth time, so not true.
Medical books say not to use it under 6 months, deaths have occured, as well as stomach bleeding. Doctors can and will be wrong, many times.
