Me and the love of my life have been together for almost 2 years now. We have had 2 scares that I might be pregnant. The first one over a year ago and now we just went through one but I got my period 3 days ago. This time hit me hard though becuase I really was hoping for it to be true that I was pregnant. Me and my love both want a child and we have the means of providing for one. Im 17 going to be 18 in 5 months and my love is 18 already. Is it wrong to start a family now? (i might be pregnant as it is im still having morning sickness and my period isnt normal) if you have any questions let me know.

I dont think its wrong for you to want to be pregnant, I wanted to be pregnant for the past 2 years, and finaly at 18 with my boyfriend I said well lets do this, we want one, and we are able to take care of a baby, so we did it. Just think really hard about it, try picturing in your head how life is going to be like after having a baby, cuz you are the babies mother, so you cant just give the baby back to someone when your done playing with her lol theres already been a few times where I think, caca did I make a mistake by doing this? But I think thats just my hormones right now cuz I really couldnt be happier. Just make sure that you are ready to basicaly completly change your life, I know I few ppl that just dont handle change very well. But if its what you want and you are ready and are able to take care of the baby finacial wise than go for it!

Babies need:
stability
a home
love
at least a basic level of care and guidance
they also need you to be able to provide for them financially.

If you can honestly provide that then no it isn't wrong.
Just don't be under the impression it will be easy because it won't.
It won't be easy whether you are 18 or 28.

Being a parent means you give up being able to do what you want when you want.
Sure you can still go out but you need to be able to plan things around baby instead.

I's say at least try to get school finished and have a steady income and a stable home and relationship.
See if a local school/college/hospital/planned parenthood runs parenting classes, as these will help you also (regardless of age).

take a pregnancy test then worry about everything else. You may not even be pregnant.

I do not think that it is wrong to want a baby, but I do think that it is wrong to purposefully have one if you know you can't give it everything that it deserves. Babies take a lot of time, money, and stability.

i'm 19 and I found out I was pregnant(wasn't expecting it) in early december. I was really scared and confused. It would have been really hard for me and my boyfriend to take care of that baby because it was just bad timing and for financial reasons but we both wanted to keep him/her. I lost that baby last week. I'm so sad that it happened. I loved him/her already and I was preparing for the arrival. But in my heart, I always knew I would never be able to give my baby what he/she truly deserved. I'm 19 years old, my relationship was stable, but way far from perfect, I was just starting college, i'm in debt (still am Rolling Eyes gawd-how do you get out of that??) and wasn't working a lot. But I was always gonna do my best and try hard to provide everything I possible could for my child. And now after losing the baby, i've never wanted one more in my life. I *yearn* to be a mommy. But I also know, that the situation didn't change. I'm still in college, my relationship is still a bit rocky and i'm still 19!! I *still* won't be able to provide everything that my baby deserves. And you're only 17!! You're still soooo young. Enjoy school-i assume you're still in highschool. Party. Have fun. There's sooo much time left in your life to start a family. If you have one now, you'll never get back your teen years. Your baby deserves *everything* in the world! If you're ready to provide that, then I guess there's no one to stop you. I just hope you'll think long and hard about this. You're still so young. (so am I and oh-my-gawd- I need an alcoholic beverage soon before I explode, I haven't had one since I found out in 2 months ago) anyway, enjoy your life. I hope you make the right decision.
