Q: Does bipolar get worse with age?

Does bipolar illness becomes worst wtih age? Or does it remain stable as long as medicines and therapy are take and done, respectively?

Bipolar Disorder Answer A2201

Bipolar disorder is a severe psychotic disorder during which manic and depressive episodes repeat alternately. Without treatment, a person with bipolar disorder can’t function properly at all. The prognosis for bipolar disorder is unpredictable. Spontaneous remission or worsening of the symptoms are both possible. Bipolar disorder is usually a life-long disease as is the treatment.
