| We learned the tea form exercise in my group and it has become a staple in my life that helps me keep my anxiety at a minimum. I think cognitive training would probably help you overcome your panic attacks. It worked for me and the book by sam obitz someone mentioned describes the right and wrong way to use the tea form and was generally easy to read and identify with. |

Have you tried cbt Collette? Your symptoms
are classic ones and if you apply yourself
cbt will help you get your life back.

I started waking up with HUGE awful panic
attacks after 9/11. My doc prescribed me
Xanax...a white one in the morning, a
white one at lunch, a white one at dinner
and a blue one at bed time...seems like a
lot I know...but they really work for me.
The white ones are really very weak and
the blue one is like 4 white ones and I
pass right out and don't wake up in a
panic mode. She gave me a sleeping
pill...Ambian I think it was called...at
first but I would wake up after 3 or 4
hours of sleep and be wide awake again.
The Xanax works for me.

Homerx I'm glad xanax works for you. Be
careful as I hear it can be very addictive
and that seems like a pretty high dose you
are on. Best wishes.

4 sure. I think I am addicted cuz if I don't take them I get really shaky and feel awful and panic worse than ever...I have been on them for years so I guess I will be on them for the rest of my life, which is fine.
