Last friday I was taking my pill but suddenly I dropped it and could not find it and so I just moved to my next day pill....Now somewhere along these 21 days I have to miss a pill...When it is best to miss it? I thought about missing it the last day therefore the 21st pill? Or shall I miss it at the start of the next pack? Pls give some idea on what to do because I dont want to ruin everything I did until now. It is only my second month on the pill (yasmin) and the 1st month was terrible with spotting but this month was very ok and I dont want to get to side effects again....Pls help!

To keep it simple..

You must take 21 pills, or else you are going to not only compromise bc protection, but you may have spotting. :/

if I were you I wuld get another pack and take 1 pill out of it, and then keep it around in case it happens again.

Thanks a lot for replying.....I came across the booklet which is always enclosed with the pills and tells you that if you miss a pill you take 20 pills and then stop for 7 days...The only difference that there will be acc to the booklet is that the cycle will be one day shorter than the normal but the contraceptive protection is not affected..........So this does not count? Sorry for bothering but dont know what to do since here the pill is available only on prescription and so if I buy another pack just for when I lose a pill or something like that I would have a pack less acc to the prescription....What do you think?

Here in the us, birth control pill instructions say that you must take at least 21 active pills to stay protected. You could take 24, 34, 55, but at least 21.

If your doctor or pill package says something different, then go by that.
