I was on the depo shot (recommended by my doctor) but decided not to continue do to the major increase in my appetite and the weight gain since taking it (this is hindering my efforts in shedding the baby weight). I am 6 months pp and need to find a birth control that won't dry up my milk supply and will not cause any crazy effects (constant hunger), any suggestions?

I have 2 big suggestions!

Iud's ..There is one that is non hormonal, no hormones, no wight gain as a side effect, and no hunger issues.

It is called paragard. Http://www.Paragard.Com

there is a hormonal iud that is advertised towards moms, it is called mirena, and is safe for breastfeeding.

If you are truly worried about hormonal side effects, paragard may be for you. I have one and love it!
