Heart Shaped Uterus Posted: 01-19-07 16:44pm
Does anyone know about heart shaped uterus
and what you can do to fix them? My docor
told me my uterus is in the shape of a
heart and I want to know if maybe that's
been causing my preterm labor and what can
I do to fix it.

Depends on the degree of malformation.
If you have an arctuate uterus it
shouldn't cause any problems.
A spetate uterus might depending on the
degree of the septum.
If you have a bicornuate uterus - you
should be able to carry a pregnancy but
can expect early labour.
If you have a didelphic uterus again you
should be able to carry a prenancy.
The problem arises if you have a didephic
or bicornuate that only developed on one
side. If you have a "rudimentary horn" on
one side you run a high risk of uterine
rupture! But it is exceptionally rare
(like about 50 known cases including me
so yeah, anything you wanna know on the
subject hit me up.
I know more about it than any doctor at my
local hospital and i'm now back at school
to get my exams so I can train the be a
specialist gyn in anomalies of the uterus!
