Hi, I am a 22 year old male, I have been in great shape for my entire life and never been sick nor injured, 6 months ago I got mononucleosis, and though that has passed, I had lower left rib cage pain and upon endosocopy from my g.I doctor, he said I had inflammation of my stomach, with no sign of h. Pylori or any esophegal inflammation, and I was prescribed aciphex for acid relief. Does anyone know what causes this, and any holisitic or otc relief or how long it lasts, and dietary restrictions etc. Etc. My doctor is not very corresponsive me, and now with my insurance changing, i'm sort of left in the dark. Thanks in advance

any continued use of an acid reflux medication won't fix anything, in fact it is considered by many to worsen the problem over time.
Look at Siberian Tiger Naturals 1 877 739 995 and also investigate on the internet....there are so many factors that cause inflammation. Doctors do it by elimination e.g, take out the gallbladder if that doesn't fix a problem then keep going... Wholistic approaches surgery etc., is the absolute last resort..
I would also have some calming herbal teas ginger, chamomile, have small meals, cut back or eliminate meat for the time being, eat more fruits, vegetables, small meals, allowing the stomach to heal...you must get fiber in the body, but there is a 'good' fiber and 'bad' fiber...again keep researching ... until something fits or gells with you.
You need to fix this problem while you re young ... and often doctors responses as they are very limited, usually medications that suppress acids, thats it...

Good luck and I am sure by researching, asking for information in health food stores you will find the answers you are looking for....
