based on what that the baby is crying? If
the baby feeds and poops there is nothing
a dr can do for you....Its like saying im
gonna go to the Dr. Because I yelled at
my husband I think something is wrong with
my health...It doesnt make any sense

U guys couldnt expect her to take her to
the doctor with the weather being so bad.
That would have put her and the baby in
danger.
All babies have episodes where they cry.
Sometimes a gas bubble thats being
stubborn can make them cry for hours.
Sometimes they just want to be
tempermental. You never know.
Im glad she didnt take the baby out in
nasty weather.

Yes it makes them super cranky because it
irritates them when they feed....Youll
have to get to a Dr. To get a
prescription because the more she feeds
the more it will spread and irritate
her...My son just finished his thrush
episode!!! Sucks!!

for days and pass it off saying oh she is
just fussy. Who cares if its a wasted
trip to the dr at least she knows nothing
is wrong

Some common signs of a yeast infection in
nursing mothers are:
itchy, pink, red, shiny, or burning
nipples (may be cracked) (note that pink,
tender nipples can also be a sign of a
bacterial infection, or dermatitis, which
should be diagnosed and treated by a
dermatologist.)
deep, shooting breast pain during or after
feedings
a vaginal yeast infection
i found that onlineand I do get the
shooting pain in my breasts, wasnt sure
what it was so hmm I think I solved my
problem but involves a visit to the dr
anyhow lol cuz she has white on her tongue
I havent tried wiping it. But joseph had
thrush quite a few times btu he was bottle
fed, so we are probably passing the crap
back and forth.

That isn't that she doesn't *want* to take
her to the doctor.. The point is that
right now where she is the wind is 90mph.
I wouldn't drive with my baby in that
weather, either!

i dont think everyone drags there kid to
the dr over one fussy day. 2 days now im
wondering whats up buti think it might be
thrush. I just gotta check inside her
mouth when she wakes up because I dont
wanna wake her up at like 10 at night just
to look. But that might be the cause.
But shes asleep on daddy right now so im
gonna go to bed plus the power keeps
flickering with every gust of wind so
gonna go before the power does if it does.
Supposedly we are only under the weather
advisory till midnight . I hope so. From
thrush with joseph I think maybe thats
what it is I havent properly seen her
cheecks btu her tongue hs teh white on it
.
Thanks for the advice for those that did
give me some hopefully it all
gets sorted tomorow. And pray the weather
is better. The wind sounds soo creepy in
this house.

90 mph the winds between 50-75 mph still

trees.

well sorryyyyyyyyy but if
my baby was 3 weeks old I would carry my
baby to the dr if she was fussy.I guess I
just rather have peace of mind to know my
child is ok. I could not live with
myself if something did tun out to be
wrong and I just burshed it off to being
fussy

yes, something could be wrong because the
baby is crying, that is the only way a
baby can indicate that something is wrong.
And there is nothing wrong with carrying
the baby to the doctor because he/she is
crying for two days, especially a newborn
baby. It is incorrect to say that if a
baby feeds and poops that there is nothing
a doctor can do for you.....There could be
many things wrong with the baby and then
again it may not be anything serious at
all like gas, but I would rather carry the
baby to the doctor and find out its
nothing than to not carry her and
something serious results. Try to
remember that not every infection will
start out with a fever...Sometimes the
pain comes before the fever.
Obviously .Tink can't take her now, but as
soon as the weather clears I would take
the baby to the doctor......I always
prefer to err on the side of caution when
it comes to my kids.

Babies cry non stop if they are
colicky...My son cried all day yesterday
for no good reason..Cranky maybe? I know
its hard because its your baby but there
is such a thing as a baby who just
cries...And besides she thingk she might
have thrush that causes them to be
cranky...

with all due respect .Emma, you are not a
doctor....Your son may just be cranky, but
it is irresponsible to tell .Tink that
there is nothing wrong and passing it off
as nothing.....How would you feel if .Tink
comes in here in a couple of days with a
morbid story (heaven forbid).
Like I said before, you don't take risks
with newborns.

I agree with .Foxy in that I wouldn't take
the "wait and see" approach if the weather
were more favorable. If you're unable to
go anywhere due to storms that's one thing
- but the original post should have
reflected this. This is not the first
time .Tink has asked for advice and
disregarded it in favor of waiting it out.
Not that .I'm saying she's wrong for
doing so, but it is not what I would have
done. I would rather the doctor tell me I
had no reason to worry than to have him
tell me I shouldn't have waited. Two days
of crying sends up red flags in my mind,
so I would not have passed it off as
fussiness. But again, I won't fault .Tink
for doing so. It's her call as the
child's mother.
