what your baby needs is tummy time!
Basically, you just lay a blanket onto the
floor and put your baby on his/her stomach
on the blanky. It'll help your little one
gain more head and neck control. I did it
about twice a day with my daughter.
You'll know when (s)he is tired of holding
her head up, your baby will give you some
kind of sign. (s)he may or may not even
lift his/her head up the first couple of
times you try it, but don't worry - keep
trying it. Jayden just laid there the
first couple times I did it, with her face
straight down onto the blanket... I was
worried she couldn't breathe so I would go
to flip her over - but her doctor always
told me to not move her until she starts
getting fussy, just listen to him/her and
make sure (s)he's breathing okay. This is
the perfect time to try this...
**around** 4 months of age, babies gain
control and balance in their head, neck,
and trunk; most babies can balance their
heads for short periods when in a stable
position. I hope I helped, good luck!!
