Q: Nasal Odor

I resently had a cold, but now that the cold is gone, i'm getting this odd odor in the back of my nose that I smell when I breathe in or out. It also affects the flavors of the food I eat. It is not always present, and just when I think it's gone, it reappears. Is this some sort of infection in the nasal area that can be home treated, or is a physician needed? Do I need an antibiotic?

I have a terrible odor emmiting from my nose it smells like dirty feet, it is so bad that people around me can smell it, the odor can cover a large area, which makes it very embarassing to go into public. pls is there any home remedy i can try, the dr had me on eflex 500mg for ten days and it really didn't do much for the smell, especially when i canfront a stressful situation the smell seems to emit more.

Have you consulted with your dentist? Odor could actually be orginating elsewhere...

I have the same proble this smell in my mouth that comes and goes and just smells foul and taste bad. Other people around me can smell it to and its so embarassing. I think its a bacteria that eats protien and emmits sulfur compounds into the air as a breath it lives in your throat and mucus. Im going to my ENT to tell him what i think.

I have been experiencing the same symptoms for the last few years. I have been to doctors, they have done every kind of exam, the dentist, taken stomach medications, changed my diet. But it remains and changes odors. Right now it smells like urine as I breathe in I smell it. I never know what, when or how strong it will be. It is really embarrassing. Sometimes it seems to be coming from my body also. I have tried nasal washing, now I'm trying baking soda. Most of the time it seems to be coming from my nose, but then when it comes from my mouth it is really horrible. Somebody HELP.
