i'm new here...Wondering if someone can
help shed light on what's happening to
me.
On january 4, I started to feel "crummy",
like I was coming down with some kind of
cold. I could barely sleep at all that
night; I kept having these weird waves of
dizziness that washed over me on the top
left side of my head. The next day I
felt nauseous (although not to the point
where I needed to throw up) and a complete
malaise and lack of affect.
I went to the doctor a few days later,
after it didn't subside. He thought it
might be related to the sinusitis problems
i've had with the left maxillary sinus.
Fair enough. He prescribed an
antibiotic.
The antibiotic didn't do anything. Now,
a month later, although it's not quite so
bad, I still have some residual dizziness
(so slight that it's barely noticeable,
but just enough to be noticeable); I have
a general "queasy" feeling (again, very
slight, but just enough to be noticeable),
and I don't feel like doing anything. I
talked to the doctor again a week ago or
so; he sent me for some blood work
(checking thyroid and so on), and it all
came back negative.
I'm feeling like i'm starting to forget
what it was like to feel "well," and i'm
really starting to get scared. I can't
get a ct scan here in canada for quite
awhile; my next appointment I was able to
get with an ent doctor is on march 17. I
can't wait that long, i'm going crazy!
Could this be some weird virus that will
just go away eventually? An inner ear
issue? (the doctor looked in my ears and
said he can't see anything wrong).
Something else?My left sinus up around the
bridge of my nose feels a bit "tight", but
then again it doesn't hurt; and besides,
it's always felt a bit "tight." I
sometimes have some very slight headaches
in the middle of my forehead.
Please...Help!

Re Strange Symptoms Posted: 04-30-04 11:46am
Hi there,i had similar problems myself. It
seems like doctors dont think its serious
or take me seriously.I also got throbbing
feeling sometimes on left side of face. The
symptoms seem to change at first but now
there are the same.My ears ring
aswell,slight pains in cheeks,migraine
type headache that cause blurred vision,
dizziness and strange feeling as if I am
in a dream or daze. The doc thinks its
sinus or allergic rhinitis ,as I get icthy
nose and cheeks. I had many tests
including eeg (epilepsy)and that was
clear. The doc has now given me flixonate
aqueous nasal spray and put me on 7day
extra strong medication for try flush out
sinus infection. So far the headaches have
improved and dazed feeling nearly gone so
hope it clears it right up.
Hope that may have given you more insight
to your problem.Cos I had major panic
attack when dint know what was happening
to me,but dont worry just try to
relax.Sinus problems are really really
horrible and many people suffer with
them,ok hope I was of help

Has your doctor ever mentioned a fungal
infection of sorts? Ask him about it.
That will not get better unless you get on
anti-fungal medication. I did the
antibiotic thing and suffered for two
months when I remembered that i'd inhaled
a ton of moldy dust from unboxing old
clothes in a church w/o a/c. I'm also
highly allergic to mold.

I know this is an old post, but I wanted
to add my comments.
Canadave, I had the symptoms you described
as well. My symptoms were also coupled
with severe anxiety attacks, like dappa1.
My doctor only tried to treat the
anxiety. I went through this for 7
months, until I demanded to see a ent.
The ent orders a sinus ct scan. It
showed that I had sinus polyps, and a
mucus retention cyst. I just had surgery
to remove all that stuff. While I am
still recovering from the surgery and feel
like I have a head cold all the time, I
seem to feel overall much better. The
ears are still ringing though, which is a
drag.

You should all have your house or
apartment checked for mold.
And if you have mold in there I would
suggest getting out.
Mold is highly toxic. Especially Black
mold.
I have had mold in my apartment for the
past year and a half from some flood
damage that happened and now my health has
totally deteriated.
I guess I have mold poisoning now.
I have the exact same symptoms as all of
you have , feeling like in a daze all the
time dizzy, tired , not feeling like
wanting to do anything. And the symptoms
get way worse after I eat, tiredness,
fatige etc.
I have reached the point now that I cannot
even function normally.
If you do find out that mold is the
problem the best solution is to move
somewhere else.
