What Should I...
Posted: 01-17-07 16:43pm

... Ask for for my 20th birthday?

Everyone and their mother keeps asking me what I want, and when I tell them nothing (i really don't absolutely positively want anything really bad right now). I feel bad when people ask me what I want lol.

So the question, what would you ask for if you were turning 20?

I was thinking that .Sims 2 pets expansion pack or...

Some boots (that aren't uggs... Don't get me started about those things) because the only shoes I have are ballerina flats... Not good for winter.

I'm open to anything ^_^

Ummm...You could ask someone for an i-pod. Or a card to buy music for an i-pod.

Umm...Maybe a couple gift certificates to a book store (if you like to read), or even the sims game is a good idea.

Or a web cam(only because I just bought one! Wink )

i can't really think of anything else. What are you about? What type of things do you like?

I remember you talking about being in the band, so I know you've got to love music...Maybe a gift card to a music store!

Lol ur right, I am all about music. But the type of things I want from a music store no one would be able to afford (think in terms of baby grand piano Laughing or maybe a vibraphone)

i think I just might ask for giftcards. It's alot easier than thinking up something that's for sure. Not to a bookstore though, I got a buttload of those for xmas tee heee

thanks sarah Wink

i got a .Kevlar xylophone as a combined birthday/.Christmas/.Hanukkah present in 2004. I am in love with my xylophone. I've been told my next mallet instrument is my own responsibility, so .I'm saving up for a vibraphone. Hopefully .I'll have one by 2009, when .I graduate!

I always ask for dvd's, or gift certificates to places where I can buy dvd's. Maybe a .Target gift card or something? I'm a dvd prostitute though. I love tv box sets and stuff. Every gift-giving holiday I always load up on them. Laughing

Money It Is...

Lol, laura, i'm not into dvd's too much. My dvd collection mainly consists of the 4-9 season of the simpsons, lol. I do however .L.U.R.V memoirs of a geisha right now... I'm a bit obsessed.

Tanya! I wishhhh I could ask for a synthesizer, but those are kind of expensive too. I hella saw one at costco the other day that looked like a black mini upright piano, but it was 1200 bucks >_<.

Tdr (i can't remember your name Embarassed), I used to live in the bandroom of my high school, I pretty much made all those mallet instruments my health forum. I tried doing an independant winter percussion group, but it fell through because of school. I used to be the pit captain at my high school, and oh how I miss it. Crying
or Very sad lol so you can sympathesize, I think.

Ah well. My mom just called me a bit ago and demanded I go shopping for more pants (i only own 3 prs of jeans), and some nice shirts. Apparently .Old .Navy is having a 50% off sale.... Cool when I reminded her i'm jobless, and consequently penniless, she said I could spend 100, and she would make it my bday gift... So I think that might be nice ^_^.

Yeah clothes are always nice.

Think of stuff you need.. Like socks, underwear, maybe even like, an oil change on your car. (or an interior cleaning or seat covers, or even a tune up...)

think outside the box. Smile

Shocked dvd's are awesome. I wouldn't have survived my last trimester without them! Oh man, I want .Buffy sooo bad! And .Lois and .Clark seasons 3 and 4 (sigh .I'm such a nerd), and .Law and .Order .S.V.U seasons 2+ (dunno if it goes up that high, but whatever, I want them!) and .E.R seasons 3+, and and and....

Memoirs of a .Geisha was a beautiful movie. The book is 18 times better. If you're the reading type. Wink

Lol sandra, I actually did that last year. I used most of my bday money from my dad to get my car detailed.

If anything, I would ask for repairs on all the damage from past attempted break ins. My passenger door handle is cracked through (lock wires exposed) because some fool tried to pop the lock. My side window is messed up when some punk in high school keyed it. The panel that holds my deck is cracked when someone tried to steal the deck console. And finally, i'd ask to get the control panel that has all the power lock and power window buttons fixed (it sank into the door). Lmao, but all this damage would come out to more than 2000. Waah.

But you better believe i'ma buy me some chonies Wink

I'll bet i'm a way bigger nerd than you laura Embarassed

lol I love watching law and order svu. I watch it with my mudder all the time. I'm also overly obsessed with house md. When I become a doctor, I wanna be as cynical as he is Laughing

and why yes, I am the reading type. I have allll the harry potter books, and even some fictional books about the plague and cholera from when I went to .C.A.R.T. I actually think I might ask for memoirs of a geisha (the book).

Shocked Shocked Shocked <3 .Harry .Potter!!!

You should buy .House on dvd Laughing seasons 1 and 2 are awesome!

I'm a bit obsessed with medical shows, I think. I love .E.R, .House, .Gray's .Anatomy, and .Scrubs Neutral that's a bit weird, right?

I've been on a .Kevin .Smith kick lately. I've always loved .Dogma and .Clerks, but we got .Clerks 2 as a .Christmas present. And then I bought "an evening with kevin smith 2: evening harder" with my .Christmas money, and omg that dude is hilarious. The stores around here are run by nazis apparently, so I told .Aaron to order the first one off .Amazon for me! So now i'm waiting for it quite impatiently. I'm actually making .Aaron a bit sick of me lately, because if I can't find anything I feel like watching, .I'll pop in "evening harder" and he's sick of listening to it from the other room. Laughing

Lmao i'll have to ask my bf about the kevin guy, i've never heard of him. And you are not alone when you say you love all the medical type shows. Although i'm not a huge fan of grey's anatomy. Lol. I remember the show 911, and my mom would get mad when I watched it because she thought I would be traumatized.

You know what i'm impatiently waiting for? The last harry potter book. I think it's called harry potter and the someting hollow... Lol. But yeah... I get the bad feeling harry is going to die... What do you think???

Do you mean .Rescue 911? With... Umm, crap... Was it .William .Shatner that did that one, or did he do the other one? Laughing

.Gray's .Anatomy is art. Shocked

i think they've debunked the "hollow" thing as the title for the new book, actually. Although I did read that somewhere! I don't think .Harry will die, but .I'm not quite sure about .Ron or .Hermione. I definitely think .Hagrid might die! Something's up with .Aunt .Petunia, and .Snape isn't a villain (i don't think, anyway). *sigh* I love thinking about that stuff. Smile

.Aaron got bored four pages into book 1 and gave up on it, and I keep telling him he needs to get over it and read it! He's a slow reader though, so I think he gets frustrated. Whereas I fly through books (if I don't get sleepy!) Laughing

Lmao yeah none of the rest of my friends and family are as into as I am.

I didn't think snape was a villain either. I mean, he's not pleasant, but he's not evil either. He was probably acting on dumbledore's orders. Speaking of dumbledore... Do you really think he's dead?? I'm still in denial about it. Crying
or Very sad I want harry and ginny to get back together ::shakes fist::

also on the note of dumbledore... I cannot stand the new one. He is nowhere near as good as the old dumblefore... I don't know why they didn't just use ian mckellan for the new dumbledore.

I don't like the .Harry/.Ginny pairing. I always hoped it'd be him and .Hermione, to tell you the truth. I think .Hermione and .Ron are a train wreck waiting to happen. Neutral

.Jo .Rowling has said he's definitely dead. Maybe he'll come back as a ghost or something, like .Harry's folks did, but other than that... Sad

.Ian .Mckellan would make an awesome .Dumbledore, but he would probably be compared to .Gandalf too much. The new one isn't so bad I suppose, but I liked the original better. Didn't he die though? Neutral

my big question is, is .Harry dropping out of school to find the rest of .Voldermort's horcrux thingies? And if so, are .Ron and .Hermione doing the same? Drama! Shocked

::sniff:: poor poor dumbledore. Lol, I never did like hermione and ron, cuz hermione is a biotch. Lol, it did kinda seem like hermione and harry had a connetion. They play it off way more in the movies I think.

And yeah, ian mckellan would be awesome. Too bad he's too closely associated with gandalf. Lmao, my bf recently told me his was gay, and I was like really?!? And my bf was all "does it bother you that bad?" and I was like "well yeah, cuz I was gonna marry him." Mad

and yeah, harry is going to godric's hollow to go visit his parents graves, and then he is going to go look for the last horcruxes.

Another thing... Were you disappointed with the people who played cedric fleur and cho? I expected them to be waaay better looking, although cho didn't look that bad.

And yes, the man who played the original dumbledore died awhile back.
