Hello

i am a 19 year old male. I have no history of urinary infections/problems, but i've been having some weird symptoms lately. I am not sexually active. I am in relatively good health although I do have inflammatory bowel disease. I take asacol for ibd and bactrim (a sufla-class antibiotic) for acne.

A couple days ago (after a night of drinking) I woke up, masturbated, and then went to the bathroom. While I was urinating, I felt a very intense pain that come on very suddenly. It felt sort of like a clenching of the bladder or some other internal structure. It forced my urination to come to a complete stop for only about a second because it hurt so much, it then went away just as quickly as it came, and everything resumed as normal without any pain.

I have not masturbated since for fear that it somehow caused this, although I have never had this problem before.

No other problems...Until today.

A little while ago I went to the bathroom and everything was normal, though it felt a little bit strained toward the end. I then went to sit down and resume watching tv. After I sat down, I felt an excruciating pain in my urethra that lasted probably one or two seconds, then went away. It feels fine now, though it feels like there's still some urine in there that didn't come out or something. I feel like I have to go again, and this is relatively soon after the incident, but I am sort of scared to. I'm pretty sure I have experienced this before, but since it occured close to the first incident i'm wondering if there's something seriously wrong this time.

I had a urine test done before the first incident, and everything was apparently normal. I had another one done after the same incident and I am still waiting for the results.

At times my urine seems to smell stronger, or it feels like its causing some mild internal strain sometimes. I thought it appeared more cloudy than usual the other day, but it wasn't enough to be certain.

Is this normal? What could be causing this (especially if my urine samples come back as normal)?

our urine can smell in different ways due to the food that we eat. what you might want to consider is to watch what you eat, maybe your kidney is not functioning well. you should get it checked by a urologist. afterwards, you can tell me and i may be help you through proper diet and supplementation.
