I know a few bow leged kids, even if it doesnt completly go away, chances are it will lessen up, and even if it doesnt for some reason its not that bad, once they learn to walk its fine (it may be a little tougher to learn though) most people dont even notice it though

ooo, I have the weirdest feet, im not actualy pidgon toed but when I walk I walk with my ankles turned outward so my feet look like \ / they point away from each other, but when I run they go the opposite way and go / \ and I walk on the outside of my feet

i was supose to have braces on my feet because of it but the doc at the time never told my mum, I only found out after it was too late to help

i fall on my face all the time when I run because of it

Thanks a lot ladies!!

Is pigeon toed & clubbed feet about the same thing? My youngest brother was born with "clubbed feet" & his feet pointed in so bad that he had to have 2 operations Confused

No pigeon-toed is not the same as a club foot.

In a normal alignment the feet point forwards.
In pigeon-toe the toes point inwards (towards the opposite foot) and the heels turn out wards slightly (not as much as the toes point in).

Some people have poor alignment in the leg (walking more on the outside of the foot is common) some walk on the insides.
Ideally you should walk evenly on the flat of your feet.

yeah I know Sad it's sad that babies are born like that. My baby brother had a really bad case of it. They had to operate when he was 8 months old I think & they actually had to "make" him an ankle because his feet were so bad he had no ankles... He was in casts for a while...It was so sad.

I was so happy when .Kaylee was born & her feet were like they should be. I was worried about that thru my whole pregnancy because it's pretty common in my family Confused

It's things like that that make me so thankful that .Jenny's only "deformity" was an extra thumb and nothing more severe.. It could have been something much much worse.

This is a good thread!

Nice wording .Kia!!

K, it probably is. But hell, I don't know! Lol!

My feet are severly pigeoned. When I was little, the braces were put on my legs. It didn't help. So the Dr. Said that he would have to break my ankles in order to fix it. And my mom wasn't having that!!

I'm also flat footed(extreemly painful at times)!

Being pigeon toed and flat footed never stopped me from running track though. That was my sport! Whooo weee!! 800m and shot put. Holla at cha girl!!
People flipped when they say me walking without my track shoes on!!! I have feet like .Daffy .Duck...Just not webbed! Wink
