Can't Seem to Find Any Answers. Please Read.

Hello there. My name is matt and I am 21 years old. I have had thin hair my entire life. Even in high school I was picked on, and teased. I'm very insecure about it, and want a solution, but can't find one.

I am not convinced I am going bald. Infact I have just as much hair now as I ever have. But my hair looks horrible, and it is getting a tiny bit thinner as the years go on. But I am not necessarly losing any hair. But if you look at my head, you can see my scalp. But as I said, it's been like that almost my entire life.

I believe there is a solution or an answer out there for me, but I just can't find it. It's hard to talk to family and friends about it, because they just don't understand what i'm going through. They usually just tell me to accept it, but I refuse to.

When I ask my doctor, he always tells me it's hereditary and there is not a thing I can really do about it. But I try not to believe it. My family does have a history of thin hair, but none as bad as mine.

I've been trying this nioxin conditioner lately, that supposively helps thinning hair, but i've noticed no difference in the 3 months that i've been using it. I've only been using the conditioner though and was thinking about buying the whole set (shampoo, conditioner, and scalp treatment)

i am 21 years old and it seems like I have the scalp of a 40 year old man. My self esteem is down the drain because of it, and I have very little confidence when it comes to girls. When I go out in public I always wear a hat, unless I am going somewhere formal. If i'm not wearing a hat I always try to stay in dark or dim litted areas so as not to expose my scalp. I honestly believe if my hair was thicker, my confidence would be out the roof. I can't seem to convince myself that a beautiful young girl around my age would want to hook up with a guy that has hair like I do at such a young age, because it makes me look ridiculous.

So does anyone here have any answers or soutions for me? Has anyone tried anything that has restored their hair from being dramatically thin, to thick? I don't expect to have hair like nick lachey, or elvis, but if I could increase the thickness of my hair by atleast 25% I would be so happy.

Or is there really no remedy? Do I just need to suck it up and accept how my hair is? Because if that's the case I don't know how i'm going to get my confidence and self esteem back.

Thank you for reading this, and I hope I can find the answers i'm looking for.

i can help you.my hair is also thin, but dont know if it's as thin as yours, however, i started having good nutrition and my hair didn't become thicker but it just doesn't look the same? maybe more hair grew out. i would suggest a few supplements for you to take, and if you're interested, i can help.

Comb?

Sometimes you can make your hair appear thicker by combing it a certain way.
Not necessarily a "comb over' just a certain angle that can hide the scalp more easily.
Another solution would be to cut it short. If it's short, it's much less likely that it will appear more "normal" to you, if you cut it short...
Hmm.
There's always throwing all the worries to the wind and shaving your head, but i guess you have to be really determined and hardcore to do that. I only know a few who've taken the plunge and done that.
