Q: Cosmetic Surgery In Bolivia
asked by: tonna on January 16th, 2007

Hi my name is tonna, i'm 49, I want to relate my plastic surgery experience for all interested.

On march 2005 I had a tummy tuck (u$ 2,690) and breast augmentation (u$ 3,990) procedure done in bolivia with makeover travel, i've heard about this organization and his work from some friends who've been there for plastics as well and were very happy with the results.

They did an excellent job, I couldn't be happier, Dr. M is very skilled and I will never regret going to bolivia to have plastics.

Due to the economy differences between bolivia and north america , plastic surgery is very affordable for middle class americans.

I've did some price research in us before and then I realized that coming to bolivia for plastics is less expensive, even with the added expense of a plane ticket, the quality of medical care is excellent.

If you need more info i'll be glad to answer all your questions about my experience.

Kisses,

tonna

Dont go alone to Bolivia
To have cosmetic surgery far of your family is not easy at all, I was the kind of person who believes that is very strong but when I was in Bolivia I saw that it wasnt like that, of course everything is really good there, I have nothing bad to say just to advice you to travel with someone you love because you need someone to share a moment like this!

Of course people in makeover travel want you to feel good but it is nice also to be with someone you know so you can enjoy this experience.

After 8 months my surgeries are excellent, I dont know if I still swelling but I am happy now, I admit I was afraid of everything since I took the plane to go there but I will do it again because I am happy with what I had the opportunity to live and with what I see now.

Just remember dont go by your self ,try to go with your best friend I am sure that you will really enjoy this trip!

Makeover Travel - Santa Cruz, Bolivia
Makeover Travel consists of 3 people & pretty pictures. Monica Rivera (Chavez) daughter to Monica Rivera (non-doctor, laser treatments), Jeremy Chavez whom Monica Jr. lives with. The hotel we stayed at was really nice, the clinic/hospital was nasty (not like the pretty picture). They don't have an office space, there are no other people, doctors, etc. When I was there Dr. Milton (only doctor)did all our surgeries, not qualified for cosmetic surgery. Once you're home & you are not satisfied, Monica Jr. will never respond - they've got your money, you're done.
Check out the misspelling, the way everything is phrased - that's Monica Jr. rewriting...these people are CON artists, cheap & bad surgeries. I fell for it as many others.

My experience
I respect your point of view but I must say that I had a completely different experience, my surgeon wasnt Dr.Milton was Dr.Suarez, I also met 2 other surgeons Dr.Cossio and Dr.Moreno , I met all of them because I wanted to know different point of views so my bilingual assistant Karla Domínguez took me to all the appointments.
I didn’t even met any of the 3 people you mention.
Talking about the clinics, I went to 3 of them after to meet Dr.Suarez, I visited the Nuclear Clinic,The Kamiya Clinic and the Niño Jesus Clinic, I chose the Niño Jesus Clinic because the rooms were bigger and everything seemed to be new.
I decided to go to Bolivia using this company because they never ask me any money before I could evaluate all the services, my surgeon and hotel, that’s why I find your comment quite special because I paid all my package before my surgery, by that moment I knew that I wanted to continue with all the trip;I did a long research and Makeover travel was the only company that never ask me to do any payment before my trip, in fact I don’t know you, but I just sent my flight ticket itinerary to book my trip, nothing else.
I don’t say that you are laying but I don’t agree with you at all, it s true that not everything is perfect but the most important to me is the surgeon, and I loved my surgeon!
By the way I returned for my trip 2 months ago, I have a lot of pictures!, I am very happy with my body, I know that I am going to see my final results in a couple of months but its ik, I have no complains for the moment.
This is my experience, I think that when you have the option once you arrive to say no if anything doesn’t like you, you can not complain like this,I like to be objective and I don’t like to speak in a bad way, as I said not everything is perfect , I didn’t like the punctuality ,I am used to deal with latin people but I hate there sense of time, they don’t care about your time, they can tell you I arrive in 5 minutes and they arrive in 20 minutes, is like this!
I had to wait a little bit at the airport for example but I wasn’t afraid because I know how do latin people is, but this is not a reason to say that I had a bad service is just the way they are!
This is my opinion and I have to say that I really recommend Bolivia for Cosmetic Surgery, if you want my e mail I will be pleased to help anyone with pictures etc.

I forgot to ask why did you go with makeover company if you saw all the misspelling of the posts?

Then you said you had a lot of surgeries, I imagine that you didnt have them in the same surgery, so why did you continue having surgeries with them if you didnt like anything(except the hotel)?

Are you sure that you dont work for any other organization?
