I am 40 and had to a hysterectomy last year due to cancer of the uterus. How do you know if you need to take hormones or not. I havent really felt any difference really. Well actually I dont really know how I am suppose to feel. I do get the hot flashes that comes every so often and I feel teary eyed sometimes but I havent notice anything else. Am I looking for something that is not there?

I think after a Hysterectomy and especially if the ovaries are lost, that we need HRT...I was explained by the OB-GYN, all the perils of using this....But I thought of all the perils without using them...I wanted to be like I used to be...They would help me...I wanted my marriage and my lust to continue...and it did....I let any doubt in my mind cease to be...I became all that I was...

Sometimes we have to force ourselves to move forward and accept age...We are still young, but if we want to make ourselves old we can do this too...Don't let yourselves get in a rut...Find hobbies and things to do that are gratifying...Life is good...
