I'm not exactly certain that it is available for regular use in the u.S. I would think not... I know that it is used in various medical procedures which leads me to believe that it is a controlled substance.

Also truth serum is highly ineffective as a means of making someone tell the truth. It's effects are comparable to being drunk. You will lose inhibitions but it can not make you do something that you do not wish to do. So even if under it's influence, if you choose to not tell the truth then you will not.

I have a kind of obvious-elephant-in-the-room conclusion to throw out here, but if your boyfriend doesn't trust you enough to answer his questions and would be willing to subject you to potentially harmful medication to get 'the real truth' out of you - why are you together?

agreed....kind of.
I recently got back together with my boyfriend of...forever. I love everything about him but have a complete fear of looking stupid and being lied to. I'm worried that he's lying to protect me and in complete honesty would LOVE to drop some truth serum in his drink. A little ridiculous? Yes. However, sometimes not knowing will drive you crazy. It doesn't necessarily mean you love that person any less or don't want to be with them. If anything, its self-consciousness.
