Q: Diabetes Or Not?

My husband was in the e.R. Yesterday for chest pains... They took his blood and his bsl was 218. They said he had diabetes from that reading. He went to the doctor today for more blood work. He feels awful and they haven't given him any medication yet. We have monitored his bsl level and this morning it was 70 and now it is 109. Does he have diabetes or is there other problems that could cause his high reading yesterday? Isn't the readings today normal? I am so confused.

Re: Diabetes Or Not?
There not supposed to diagnose diabetes unless his blood suger is high on more then 2 occasions.

It could of been a number of reason why his reading was high.

70-110 is the normal range.
