I am writing for my boyfriend. For almost a year now he has been bothered by a strange pain in the lower left side of his pubic region, above the testicles. He tells me that it feels like some body pushing down really hard from within, and almost compares it to the menstural cramps that I get. He went to a doctor I think it was june of last year. One doctor said that it was a hernea and another doctor said that it was a prostate infection. He was given a month's worth of medication for the "prostate infection" and took all of it correctly. Still, the pain presists. It comes and goes, not as often as usual. He tells me that it will throb in the afflicted region, all the way down to his knee, and sometimes I see him almost limping from it. He was 25 at the time, 26 years old now. He is a tad over-weight, but has a job unloading trucks that keeps him a generally good shape. I wonder if this could be a hernea, as it tends to hurt more with physical exeration.
Do any of you guys know what this could be? Have you ever had something similiar? I hate to see him hurting, and would like to know if this could be something more serious. Any answers or suggestions would greatly help.
