Q: Is It Harmful In Any Way to Stop Ejaculating?

Hello. I am considering stopping masturbating and ejaculating completely for 3 months. Is there any risk of physical harm in doing this? Can one harm their physical sexual health by doing this? What could happen? I know it will be hard, and there will be mental and some physical symptoms. This I expect.

What I am wondering is is there any danger of long term damage if I dont ejaculate for 3 months straight?

This is such uncharted territory that I must ask. Are there any physical dangers? What happens to the semen that builds up in the scrotum? Does it just sit there? Is that dangerous? What could happen? I will get horney from time to time and I will get erections and create semen. What happens if I dont release that semen?

Please advise.

Thank you very much.

You'll get extremely horny. Otherwise it's not really a problem. Your body will release it during your sleep if you don't do it while you're awake. However, occasional masturbation is healthy and will keep your testosterone up.

If you do not ejaculate, semen that is stored in the scrotum is just re-absorbed by your body. It's a natural process.

Deebaby, where did you get your avatar from? It's really cool!

And to the poster, well you havent given any reason as to why you want to do this, maybe you should share!

You wont do yourself any harm from this, but rest assured there is nothing unhealthy physically or mentally in masturbating.

Fiona you say there is no mental harm is stoping master baiting? That's not for everyone I take it? I've noticed that when I stop masturbating I become very away of female around. I'm not the type to "check girls out" or anything i'm usualy lost in my own thoughts and what not...But when I stop I become a different person and it usualy confuses me and spins me out of control.

But you still do get horny....Wont mess with you physicaly ^_^

If the sperm is not ejaculated from the body it will be reabsorbed. Whether or not this is harmful is still a bit up in the air. More research needs to be done on the reabsorption process. What we do know: 1. Doctors noticed changes in the epididymis of men who had vasectomies, which might be related to the reabsorption of sperm. 2. Studies suggest that ejaculating five times or more a week during the late teens and early twenties may decrease your chances of getting prostate cancer later in life. In short, ejaculating is probably good for you. Not ejaculating isn't exactly what your body is designed for, but so far it doesn't seem to cause major problems in most cases, so chances are you don't have to worry. As someone else mentioned, there is a good chance you will ejaculate some in your sleep anyway.

Spiritual as in religious, or spiritual as in a sort of... Personal medatative thing?

You'll not die. Put it that way. Your brain won't explode and your penis won't fall off. How it effects your behaviour and state of mind really depends on what you are like as an individual I suppose. Maybe it'll do nothing at all. Maybe it'll make you really horny and frustrated. I suppose if you find it has negative effects on you, the way you are feeling, the things you do, then you can reconsider your choice. (that is if you are doing it because you want to be a 'better person' but all it does it make you angry, lol)

it's all up to you. But you will come to no harm.

Don't Quit Masturbating
Ancient Chinese believed that a man's sperm is his most precious commodity and should be preserved as much as possible. Thus men practiced attaining orgasms without ejaculating, which meant that they could enjoy multiple orgasms and never become depleted. Sperm and fluids that would normally be ejaculated are reabsorbed into the body and provide more energy to enjoy even more sustained multiple orgasms.

Rather than quit masturbating, use the time to practice reaching orgasmic levels without ejaculating and soon you will be a master at sustaining orgasmic level pleasure for as long as you like over and over again without feeling the need to ejaculate. Of course you’ll have some accidental ejaculations while practicing, but remember practice makes perfect. Eventually you’ll be enjoying more intense pleasure than you’ve ever experienced, and much more of it. Then you'll be able to satisfy your girl to her heart's content.
