Yup, .Sarah! I was having weakness in my hand towards the end, my grip kept slipping, and there was just constant pain. They had to scrape part of it off my tendon. I sustained nerve damage - .I'm not sure if it's from the cyst itself or from the surgery. I'm just grateful it didn't affect my dominant hand!

They used to call ganglion cysts "bible bumps" back in the day, because they'd grab the biggest book they had (the bible) and smash it against the cysts to bust them! Shocked

the thing about ganglions is, most docs want to drain them first. But they're not filled with fluid, really. They're filled with this super thick jelly-type stuff and it isn't easily sucked up into the syringe. Aspiration on these hurts so doing it bad! And then they have a good chance (50% maybe?) of coming back anyway.

Thanks .Ladies! I wish I lived closer too .K!!!

It's caca ty knowing that i'm going to *have* to have this surgery! Evil or Very Mad

i'm not happy about it at all.

And I talked to .Baron about taking the week off and he said "well if I take a week of for the surgery to help you, I won't be able to take a week off for the wedding." soooo...Now i'm really screwed!

But all hope is not lost. If I can get this surgery before .Mardi .Gras, my friend .Katie can help me!! I helped her out when she had her surgery and she offered me help with mines!

Sarah

I had a cyst removed from the side of my right ear when I was 14 (i don't remember the name of the cyst) and I was left with a doing it hole Shocked Confused

It collected dirt in it but I was told under no circumstances must I try to squeeze it so now I have what looks like a large blackhead on the side of my face but luckily it is mainly covered by my sideburns

Well if it makes you feel any better the cysts have returned on my overies. I dont' think that I can stand to loose much more of them and still have a chance of having another baby. They are looking at removing them before they get much bigger.

But I know having stitches sooooo close to your ars is much worse than having a few little holes in my tummy.
