I was on depo for almost a year and had a period almost the whole time I was on it. How long will it take my body to get back on track and how long before I can get pregnant?

For me I had my last shot in janurary I did not bleed while on the shot for a year. It took 2 months after that for my period to come back and I bled for a solid month. I began a normal period the following month but speradic on when it would start for approximatly 6 months. As for getting pregnant I am not sure it could be anytime after you had your last shot.

Depo is horrible. I took 2 shots of it and bleed for 6 months straight. It should be taken off the market....Just let it bleed, it will stop. Then stop taking it!!

As others have said, depo is some strong stuff. I was on it for five years without even spotting the whole time. I wish that I knew then how dangerous the stuff can be. It took me about three months to get a period after coming off the stuff. They say that it can take as long as a year and a half to get pregnant after coming off it.
