Q: Itchy pimples on abdomen
asked by: DoctorQuestion on January 14th, 2007
My 10 yr old daughter had about 5 pimple like bumbs all the way around her abdomen about a month ago and they came and disappeared together. Now she has a few on her buttocks and the itch terribly. She is otherwise very healthy

What is it and should she see a doctor?

According to your description (“pimple-like bumps that itch”), it seems that your daughter is experiencing some type skin inflammation. It is very hard to diagnose a skin disorder without visual inspection (seeing it). She could be experiencing anything from an infection to an allergy, an irritation or something else. You may consult your primary health provider or a dermatologist if necessary.
