Hello,

i started taking ortho tri cylen lo last sunday... My period was supposed to end 3 days ago but I am still spotting blood. Till y'day it was fresh red blood but today I spotted dark brown discharge.

I had started taking bc pills a few months ago and the same thing had happened. I was finding the spotting almost the whole month till my next period and I got a little scared and I stopped taking the pills. But I have started it again and the same thing seems to be happening.

I just wanted to ask... Do u guys think that it will go away in a month or two... Or atleast I should take it for like 2 months and see if it works and the spotting goes away??? Or should I just stop it now???

Do not stop in the middle of a pack, that usually makes the bleeding worse, in all honesty.

You may need to consider switching pills by your next pack. If after 2-3 months your breakthrough bleeding is not in control, it is usually time for a change.
