Confused If any one out there has the answer to my ?? A thank-you in advance. I have had a re-occuring chest pain, on my left side of the body. That is so sever it takes my breath away. It starts slowly and with movement or heat starts to throb. It feels like its right under the pectoral muscle, yet there is cramping on the chest wall. It goes right thru to the shoulder blade and at its peak it numbs half my arm and cause it to tingle, until it subsides. This can last up 15 hours, in pure agony. Went to the er and was tested and heart is great Confused And no blood clots. If it was low potassim wouldn't that effect all my muscles. The pain lasts so long, that my whole left side is very ache and sore, and when I exert effort with it, the pains come back??? Any ideas I would be very thank ful for. I was not working out either due to sever, chronic illness thanks and have a great day! Ww

Its good you went to the Doc to rule out anything serious. I have read about, and also experience myself random chest pain. I think the only thing you can do is relax, I know easier said than done. If it still persists then I would go back and check with the doctor again.

Lessened when i stopped taking a drug
Thank-u for replying, i was on a drug for IBS and that drug was pulled from the market, due to heart problems. I was pissed as it was very helpful.. i stopped taking the drug as instructed by my GI and then i started having GI problems that were sever, so i started taking it again and bam the chest pain came back with a vengence.. I have been off the drug now for awhile and i still have re-occuring chest pain, how ever not as sever.. my asthma specialist says that due to heavy prednisone use, many asthmatics have un- explained chest pain.. i was not happy with that and i told him so, so now i have constant check-ups ecg ect done regularly so they have something to compare it to, should something happen with my heart.. Gotta be pro active.. thanks for your reply, its been awhile since i posted this. cheers ww
