Given your height (165cm), age, sex and the scientific formula, your ideal body mass (IBM) should be about 59kg (130 pounds) but you are 47kg (103 pounds). Normal body weight is considered to be within range between IBM-10% and IBM 10%. In your case, the range for ideal body mass is between 53 and 65kg. You are underweight, but that is not a contraindication for performing laparoscopy. You may consider seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist, or other trusted mental health professional regarding your issues with food. When you are ready to seek treatment, a number of options are available. You can start by being honest with the doctor(s) performing your surgery, or your primary health physician and ask for suggestions about diagnosing and treatment of eating disorders.
