I just found a bald spot on my scalp......I'm a 24 year old female....

I have searched the internet all over and I found that mose cases of this desease end up in hair regrowth.....But I have two questions:

1.I read that the bald spot may be itchy and tingling......But my scalp tingles and itches in areas where there is no hair loss (not yet)....So does this mean that more hair is to fall off?...Should I prevent myself from scratching the itchy and tingling areas?.....Does scratching in any way facilitate hair loss?....Should I use some oral or topical treatment to stop the itching?

2.The bald spot that I found is exactly in the centre of my scalp...The centre of the head......Does this mean anything?.....I mean...I heard this disease to take of hair randomly from anywhere....But why is it so symetrical in me?.....Does it mean its more severe?

And it happended to my brother 2 years ago.....But it never occured to him again.....Does this mean that its gonna be severe for me? Should I be worried and see a dermatologist? Cuz my brother says its no big deal and that it'll grow back.

Worried,
naz

Homeopathy has very good remedy for alopecia areata. It can see that there is stoppage of hairfall around affected areas, in new areas etc. And also see that hair growth is generated in the affected areas.

Well Naz, I understand your problems directly, I myself have suffered from Alopecia for about 5 years now, I have tried all sorts of treatments. I also understand that it will probably affect you more than it did me, because I'm a guy so I can sort of pass as bald. My advice is to keep trying treatments but if you can stay away from treatments with heavy side effects. It may be hard to deal with at first but if you can try to let things play out, your hair will almost certainly grow back at some time. I have found adapting to Alopecia really builds my character as well, as it will yours if you decide to go down that path. There just aren't any cures for Alopecia, and treatments which bring total and permanent hair regrowth seem rare at best. As for the itching, visit your local GP or chemist and try to pick up some Hydrocortisone cream, I have a feeling that it may be some kind of reaction or dermititis which is causing the itching and if so you may have been scratching or rubbing at the area at night causing the hair loss.

Alopecia Cure
I also had bald patches (Alopecia Areata). The steroids gave me bad side effects. Then I found a product on the internet. I tried it and it worked like no tomorrow. Try searching on-line for this product. I think it was called thymusking gel. Good Luck!
