The age of a pregnancy age is counted from the first day of the last menstruation and not from the day of conception. The baby's due date is also calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period (LMP)... not from the day of conception (LMP - 3months + 7days = due date). For women with a 28 day cycle (most cases), conception occurs about 2 weeks after the first day of the last menstruation. If your cycle lasts 28 days and your last menstruation started on the 17th of July, you probably conceived around the 1st of August.
