My girlfriend and I are strongly considering getting birth control. Is it required for me to wear condoms if she is on birth control, even if I dont finish in her ? Because her mom spoke to her about it and said she would still need me to wear a condom and I was wondering about it. I know I should wear one to be safer, but the pill is still maximum effective without the condom if she takes it everyday when shes supposed to right?

.The pill is 98% effectice in preventing pregnancy when taken everyday at exactly the same time. .I would advise using both condoms and birth control just to be on the safe side. .Make sure your girlfriend reads the pamphlet she is given with her perscription carefully and asks her doctor any questions she may have about the pill.

It's recommended to use a back up form of protection (condom) for the first week of starting any form of birth control.
