well I cant do anything for my step daughter. They let her live in a dump with cat poop and trash piled up the walls. They dont feed her meals. Make her put something in the micowave to eat. She is about to turn 12 and wears the same size as my 7 year old. So I dont think they would listen if I said anything about shots. Plus I been told its not my business. Ok sorry for running my mouth

then that's your fault for not reporting it, she would easily be taken away and put into foster care if a social worker had a "home visit" with her.

For real....

he shouldn't be afraid because she would be a happier girl, seriously....And from what you said above she would .F.O.R. .S.U.R.E. Be taken away and if not a foster home with her dad. Because when a child gets taken away like that they'll call the other parent or the closest relative before they would put her in a foster home.

But seriously girl...You should report them. And the fact of how small you said she was from not eating makes me really sick & sad.. Just from that they would take her out asap.

I can't believe people actually do that, sick doing it freaks if you ask me... Sad

Chase, you could also call it in anonymously. I think you really should.

It wont be long before she is taken out of that home. Either a social worker will make her get out or her mother is killing herself by getting high off pills everyday and has gotten so big she has a hard time even walking

you can report abuse anonymously. And, no, it doesn't mean he was the one who told. A neighbor could have reported it. Or the school. Or anyone else who is around her. Explain your misgivings about information leaking out the you were the reporting party to .D.C.F.S. They'll assure you it is confidential.

Besides, they only do a visit or check to see if the information is correct. Once they know it is, then they'll act on it.

in my state they call you first and give you 24 hours to make anything nasty, better. But even if they do clean up, I can only imagine the smell...And how skinny the little girl is they have no chance...

You need to report it, I don't care if your scared or not....Letting a little girl be in that situation because of your husband is pathetic.

I think being aware of abuse and not reporting it makes you partly guilty...

I wouldn't be able to not do something about a situation like that, it would constantly be eating at me.

I know it's hard though, to know when and if you should say something, and if it's the "right" thing to do. A lot of foster homes aren't that great either... But still, the lesser of two evils.

your obviously not helping her too much if you won't get her out of that sh*t hole...And of course she don't think it's wrong because it's all she knows.

Just read this last page:

trust me, it will be difficult for them to know who it is if you make an anonymous phone call. How do they know it's not someone from the school calling? You can always call the school and not tell them who you are. They may also look into it and perhaps they have been keeping some tabs anyways. If you do call, cps (or whatever they call it where you live) will most likely go to investigate. If the conditions are that bad, then people may have already suspected something. Perhaps a phone call or two has already been made in the past?? Especially if her clothes are that small!!

You know who cares if you remain anonymous or not. Jesus, report it, dont' wait until the mother kills herself and the little girl is left with a dead body for a few days. How horrifying is that? Or dont' wait until the little girl is negleted to the point that she starves...Please you dont' want that on you right? Who cares about your husband's worries right now.....It's a child and they alway outweigh your husband's cares. He could care enough about his grandbaby than his drug using daughter.

Is this your 12 year old step daughter?

Http://pregnancy.Ehealthforum.Com/health/ topic79832.Html

because if that is her, you seriously need to report now! She looks so small for her age, there could be permanent damage!

you can't really say how she should look for a 12 year old...Based on genes etc some children look younger/older and shorter/taller for their age as well as mature faster/slower. I have an 11 yr old stepdaughter and she is the same size, as my 6 yr old step daughter (different mothers) only taller (when we shop for clothes for them we shop in the same section for the same size)....Looking at her you wouldn't think she is 11.

You can only positively say if the child looks healthy or not, and this child by no means looks like she was being starved at the time this picture was taken.
