I just started birth control this cycle, and after my period, I didn't stop spotting "old blood", and started experiencing vaginal tenderness (normally a pms symptom for me) about a week after my period stopped.

Now i'm on my placebo's and I haven't started my period yet (although its only been 2 days, so i'm guessing that's normal), but i'm still spotting and i'm still experiencing tenderness.

I'm assuming this is not something to worry about in terms of pregnancy, but will it go away, cause frankly, its annoying.

Also, just for background, i've taken the pill everyday, but about once a week I wouldn't be able to take the pill till a couple hours after my schedualed time.

The first month or 2 on the pill can be a little rocky for some women, they tend to experience breakthrough bleeding and irregular spotting.

Your 'period' on the pill can come anytime durig the placebo week. Your period on the pill is not a 'normal period', it is simply a "withdrawal bleed" from lack of hormones, so your body needs time to register.
