I am currently finishing the 3rd month of loestrin 24, this is the first pill that I have tried and in the past month I have had the worst time while having sex. It has been painful, almost like burning and some bleeding has happened as well. I never had a problem before the pill and I was wondering if maybe its just drying me out and or if there really is a major issue.

Please help me...

1. Have you been using a condom along withe the bcp's
2. Do you know for sure that your partner(s) are std free.

Those are 2 of the questions that a doc is going to ask you when you go see them. They will probably give you the choice as to wether or not they will give you an std test..If you think for some reason at all it may be necessary than do it....Its better to pay a few extra bucks to be sure than to be running around with one....Loestrin is a very common bcp and is used almost every where...After 3 months you shouldnt have anymore breakthrough bleeding and your cycle should be right on...If you read the insert for the pill it will tell you what syptoms are to be expected and what syptoms could be a adverse reaction.....If I was you I would just go and see my doc to make sure everything os allright down there

Well if you read about it, birth control can decrease your sex drive dramitically. It sucks I know but it happens. Are you having dryness? That can cause bleeding and discomfort. Try a lot of forplay, and use ky jelly. Your man should understand. Its a known fact that the pill does this to womens sex drive. Maybe this pill isn't for you? Some people have to try different pills before they find the right one. I take lutera and I have never experienced this problem. Good luck
