Q: Advice Post Termination Please Xx
asked by: emma29 on January 8th, 2007
New User, Becoming EHEALTHy
I had a termination just over 2 weeks ago Sad , I was 16 weeks and due to my oh cheating on me and us splitting up I had no other option even though it broke my heart but I don't regret it now. I already have 1 little girl who is 1 from her dad cheating on me too and 2 kids from cheating gits was 2 much to do alone. I am just wondering if it's normal to have a load of fluid retention after, I was a size 8 before I was pregnant this time and can't fit in any of my jeans. Am I just being too hasty as I was 16 weeks and I think I was starting to show a little bit and I need time for my body and weight to settle again? Question
xxxxxxxx

Extremely EHEALTHy
With a termination at 16 weeks, which is a bit later in pregnancy, it takes your body about a month to get back into the swing of things..

By 16 weeks you start having some bloating and water retention, so that will make a change. Your uterus also started to get larger, and it needs to heal as well.

Exercise is best done about 3 weeks after an aboriton at 16 weeks, it gives your body time to heal =)

give your body a month, you were under stress, you were pregnant, this definately would cause my jeans to fit snugger too. I am also a very fit person, and even at my 7 week 5 days abortion my jeans were tighter..

Active User, Really EHEALTHy
With any fluid retention, I have found that incorporating a couple of glasses of cranberry juice into my diet (the sugar-free, actual juice kind) helps get rid of excess fluid retention and bloating. I usually have some water retention around my time of the month and so whenever I notice it, I just drink some cranberry juice.

it's also supposedly really good for our womany urinary tracks Wink to not only prevent uti's, but also to get rid of them! Don't know how much of it is true, but as actual doctors prescribe it, there must be something to it.
